What is confirmed

The vendor lists Hebrew among supported OCR languages and describes converting image-only PDFs into searchable PDFs. This supports search, selection and text extraction from a recognised scan.

What you must test

Use the trial with the same document type you intend to process. Search for several Hebrew terms after OCR, copy a mixed-direction line, and check names, dates and numbers against the scan.

  • Right-to-left word order
  • Hebrew plus Latin text
  • Numbers and punctuation
  • Search results across several pages

Searchable is not the same as perfectly editable

A searchable text layer can work even when reconstructing the original font and right-to-left layout is imperfect. If exact visual editing is essential, treat that as a separate acceptance test before purchase.

Limits to check before paying

  • OCR language support does not automatically prove full right-to-left editing quality.
  • Mixed Hebrew, numbers and Latin text should be tested.
  • Low-resolution or skewed scans may reduce recognition accuracy.
